Hrynyshyn V. Formation of food security system in Ukraine

Purpose: to substantiate and enhance theoretical and methodological foundations and to develop practical recommendations regarding the formation of the food security system in Ukraine. Object: the formation process of the food security system in Ukraine. Methods of research: economic-statistical, calculation and constructive method, correlation-regression analysis, cluster analysis, simulation modeling, ranking method, normalization method, method of integral estimation, method of fuzzy logic through the use of feature set of MatLab Fuzzy Logic Toolbox. Theoretical results: the basis for further development of theoretical and methodological foundations as well as practical recommendations regarding the formation of the food security system in Ukraine has been created. Practical results: scientific and methodological framework for ensuring the formation of the food security system in Ukraine has been developed. Scientific novelty: theoretical and methodological provisions on the mechanism of the formation of the of the food security system have been developed; they are based on the cluster model of the implementation of relevant measures, decisions and action aimed at providing the government institutions and society with resources, tools, technology of planning, organization, motivation and control over interaction in the course of development of the food sector. The degree of implementation: Department of Agribusiness Development and Economic Policy of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, Zhytomyr Regional Council, PJSC State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine, Polissia National University. Efficiency: the results of the research contribute to the development and improvement of the mechanisms and levers for the formation of the food security system in Ukraine. Sphere of use: Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, regional departments of agribusiness development, agricultural commodity producers, scientific institutions of NASU, higher educational establishments specializing in economics.
