Konstantinov K. Countering illegal bribery: comparative criminological analysis (based on materials from Ukraine and the countries of the Caucasus)

The dissertation is devoted to the comparative criminological analysis of giving illegal benefit and giving a bribe under the criminal legislation of Ukraine and the countries of the Caucasus and definition of measures for increase of efficiency of counteraction to these socially dangerous phenomena. Based on the comparative legal analysis of illegal benefits in Ukraine and bribery in the countries of the Caucasus, an information model was formed, which: reveals the criminal law, economic and socio-political essence of these socially dangerous phenomena; reflects their criminal law and criminological features; creates a criminological portrait of a person who provides an illegal benefit (bribe); establishes a set of criminogenic factors that cause the provision of illegal benefits (bribes); determines and substantiates the main content of counteraction to the provision of illegal benefits (bribes). Through the prism of the parameters that characterize this model, a critical analysis of the existing set of measures to combat illegal benefits (bribes) and revealed their meaning, as well as developed proposals for it, ie the process of counteracting, optimizing and improving efficiency at the social and special criminological level.
