The dissertation is devoted to research of theoretical and methodical bases and practical aspects concerning formation of economic safety of the agricultural enterprises. The essence of economic security of agricultural enterprises is specified, its functional components are revealed and methodical approaches on an estimation of a level of functional components of economic safety of the agricultural enterprises are presented. Trends in the development of agricultural enterprises are analyzed, the impact of risks on the level of economic security of agricultural enterprises is determined, the level of economic security of agricultural enterprises is assessed taking into account the level of its functional components. The level of economic security of agricultural enterprises is forecasted, and a model of the optimal level of economic security of agricultural enterprises is built. The necessity of carrying out a set of measures aimed at increasing the level of economic security of agricultural enterprises has been substantiated.
