Essay

The dissertation work is dedicated to the issues of increasing the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment of patients with arterial hypertension (AH) and stenotic atherosclerosis of the carotid arteries (CA) in combination with type 2 diabetes based on the study of daily blood pressure monitoring, cardiac remodeling and cognitive functions after carotid endarterectomy (CE) and blood pressure correction with olmesartan and lercanidipin. It is established that CE in patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes leads to a decrease in systolic (SBP), diastolic (DBP) blood pressure during the day and day activity, the average daily variability of SBP, DBP in the early postoperative period. It was found that in the remote postoperative period, blood pressure continued to decline, including due to the night values of SBP and DBP. Scientific data on the efficacy of olmesartan and lercanidipine in patients with hypertension associated with stenotic atherosclerosis CA and type 2 diabetes have been supplemented. For the first time, CE has been shown to improve the functioning of the cognitive sphere in patients with CA pathology and concomitant hypertension and type 2 diabetes and has a positive follow-up dynamics.
