Gromashevsky Institute of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2021. The aim of the dissertation research was to investigate the predictor factors of response to antiviral treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis B depending on the clinical and laboratory manifestations and the level of viremia. The tasks were solved with the help of epidemiological, clinical, functional, instrumental and laboratory research methods. The first type of research is epidemiological, which was conducted by analyzing the data of "Donor Account Cards", "Reserve Donor Cards" and "Active Donor Medical Cards", as well as data of individual cards of pregnant women and women in labor (form №111/o). The second type of study is based on long-term prospective follow-up of 120 patients with chronic viral hepatitis B. All patients included in the study received treatment under the state program. The dissertation deals with the side effects of antiviral therapy. It has been shown that the achievement of a stable virological response depends on HBeAg (+) - HBeAg (-) variant of HВV. The paper evaluates the criteria of efficacy and safety when prescribing HTP to patients with chronic hepatitis B. Key words: chronic hepatitis B, HBeAg (+) HBeAg (-) variants, predictors, antiviral therapy.
