Essay

Thesis is devoted to the complex research of forming and existence of Ukrainian diaspora in the Czech Republic during the ХХ - ХХI centuries. Sociodemographical processes within Ukrainian migration group were analysed. The state of scientific study of the problem and further perspectives of its investigation was defined. The theoretical and methodological base of the study is justified. The main milestones of the existence of the Ukrainian diaspora in the Czech lands were studied, the main and characteristic features of each of the stages of its existence in the context of the generally accepted separation of Ukrainian migration movements into four emigration waves. The reasons for the formation of a powerful migration group of Ukrainian in Czechoslovakia during interwar times, the main achievements of its representatives concerning issues of adaptation of the Ukrainian to life in the conditions of emigration and the reasons for the decline of her initiatives in the 30s of the twentieth century were defined. The main aspects of the life of Ukrainian diaspora in the CSER in the second half of the twentieth century and the processes that led to the restoration of migration were revealed. The movements are Ukrainian in the last decade of the twentieth century. The main socio-economic and demographic characteristics of the Ukrainian Migration Group in the Czech Republic at the present stage were analyzed.
