Kidina N. Criminological principles of individualization of juvenile punishment in Ukraine

The dissertation is one of the first comprehensive monographic studies, in which using modern methods of cognition, developed a system of criminological means of individualization of juvenile punishment, resulting in a number of innovative provisions, conclusions and proposals that can serve further development of public policy in juvenile delinquency. improving the legal framework and law enforcement practices in this area. The paper presents criminal law and criminological characteristics of juvenile delinquency. The legal and criminological criteria for assessing the personal qualities of minors, which are important for the individualization of sentencing by minors, are systematized. The issue of individualization of the choice of legal sanctions, as well as the application of educational and preventive measures is revealed. Taking into account the criteria of prognostic assessment of changes in juvenile delinquency trends and the practice of criminal penalties, ways to improve the means of individualization of punishment of this category of persons have been developed.
