Essay

The dissertation work is devoted to determination of parameters of productive features formation of heifers and cows of different lines of the Znamyansky intra-breed type of Poliska meat breed under conditions of restricted gene pool. According to the results of the research, the directions of selection for the preservation, further qualitative improvement and rational use of the herd of the Znamyansky intra-breed type of Poliska meat breed as a valuable asset of domestic cattle breeding have been scientifically substantiated. The expediency of a wider use of the animals of Radist 113 line, which have higher growth rate and meat productivity compared to their analogues, has been substantiated.
