The scientific novelty, the personal contribution consists in fact that «the Prague text» is first-ever analyzed through the lens of Imagological theory. Its main content, boundaries and functioning in the poetry of European Modernists are outlined. The conclusion is made that the structure forming elements of the «the Prague text» are: Modernism (and neo-mythologism, as its derivation), individual poetic works and the fusion of autochthonal and emigrant literature. The main criteria and poetic variations of «the Prague text» in the emigrant literary continuum are defined. The practical value represents the possibility of using the obtained results in teaching of Literary Theory, Comparative Literature, History of Ukrainian and World Literature, in special courses and special seminars devoted to the city problematics in the literary texts.
