Essay

The dissertation investigates systemic creative aspects and historical, socio - cultural, procedural factors of existence of competition-festival movements in choral creativity in the context of actual chorology. The following tasks are solved in the work: the content of concepts about competition-festival forms and competition-festival movement is revealed; the genesis of the competition-festival movement in choral creativity is covered; the structure and parameters of the research of the choral competition-festival movement as a systemic artistic phenomenon are substantiated; features of formation of traditional models of competitive and festival forms are investigated and their classification is offered; the tendencies of competition-festival online forms are clarified; methodical approaches to the formation of the repertoire policy of choirs participating in creative competitions are considered; the textual peculiarities of the obligatory works of the competition-festival events are clarified; special conceptual functions of the conductor in the context of the competition-festival movement are investigated; characterized by organizational principles in the preparation of the choir to participate in competition and festival events. The study offers a generalized theoretical model of the systematic construction of competition and festival forms in choral art. The provisions, themes, repertoire and organizational conditions of the leading European international choral competitions of the European Grand Prix in choral singing are considered; the activity of international and national choral societies is covered; the palette of Ukrainian choral competitions and festivals is covered; the analysis of obligatory choral works from practical experience of participation in creative competitions is presented. All this contributed to the formation of a full-fledged idea of the current state of the competition and festival movement, which includes composition, performance, conducting. Competitive-festival forms and the phenomenon of competitive-festival movement in modern choral creativity are offered to be considered as a perspective direction of modern choral studies and music management.
