Bilousova S. Donetsk school of domra`s performance: stages of development, methodological principles, regional component of repertoire

The dissertation investigates on domra art of Donetsk region from its origins to the formation of the Donetsk school of domra`s perfomance, the youngest in Ukraine. Focus is made on the peculiarities of formation and development of the Donetsk school of domra, on innovative features of its methodology, and on acknowledging the contribution of its representatives to the treasury of musical culture of Ukraine. A theoretical grounging is given here to the concept of "Donetsk school of domra`s performance". The present dissertation explains step the theoretikal aspects of Valery Ivko`s conception of performing, in particular the innovative ideas of an exact mechanism of the intonating technique as well as an explication of the three levels of the intonating thinking. In this dissertation we have classified the original works for domra by Donetsk composers according to genre, form, style and compositional characteristics.
