Pidpalyi V. Forensic characteristics and investigation of thefts in a big city

The dissertation deals with the complex research of legal, theoretical and organizational-tactical bases of criminalistics maintenance of investigation of thefts in a big city in view of normative provisions of the current criminal procedural legislation. The characteristics of thefts in a big city are given and the structure of forensic characteristics is developed, in particular the subject of criminal encroachment, methods, situation, trace picture and typology of persons committing such crimes and victims are outlined. The problematic aspects of detection and initiation of pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings on thefts committed in the city are investigated. Typical investigative situations, versions and main directions of investigation are singled out. The peculiarities of tactical and forensic support of investigative (search) actions during the investigation of thefts in a big city are revealed; the forms of special knowledge use are analysed. The result of the study is the formation of forensic recommendations in order to increase the effectiveness of the theft investigation.
