Essay

The object of research is ballet for children in domestic choreographic art. The periodization of the formation of the domestic concept of ballet performance for children is proposed and substantiated. The most significant domestic ballets for children in the historical and cultural context are identified and characterized. It is proved that the main sphere of transformation of the socio-cultural content of domestic ballets for children is script drama. The role of leading choreographers in the process of understanding the content of Ukrainian children's ballet was revealed. The branches of science — Ukrainian culture, art studies.
