Essay

The object — the culture of the Armenian diaspora in Ukraine. The complex analysis of specificity of formation and cultural development of the Armenian diaspora in Ukraine is done in the dissertation. It has been shown that the existence of things creates a map of reality, where objects play the function of markers, and museum artifacts are representatives of the subject-cultural memory of the Armenians. It is proved the expediency of understanding the culture of the Armenian diaspora from the point of view of the phenomenon of transgression, which is an important mechanism for both the formation and overcoming of socio-formative dispositives «Own-Stranger», «Own-Other», that are decisive in the ontology of diasporic culture. It is determined that both matrix and diasporic Armenian culture are open dynamic systems, which in the process of development naturally form different autonomous simultaneously functioning cultural systems due to changes in living conditions. It is proposed to consider the cultural practices of the Armenians in terms of socio-cultural structuring of the topos of the Armenian diaspora. The role of the Armenian Apostolic and Catholic Churches in preserving the collective historical memory of the Armenians is revealed.It is shown that the change of confessional dominance in Armenians was due to the imposition of the stereotypical role of "Stranger" - "Other", where the main marker of "otherness" was confessional identity. It is highlighted how new artistic sign-symbolic and representative forms appear in the Armenian Diaspora as a result of the transformation of ethnocultural consciousness. Field: Ukrainian culture, cultural studies.
