The paper researches intercultural interaction of the East-West in the aspect of musical Occidentalism on the example of Ma Sicong’s work as a representative of Chinese violin art. The ways of adaptation of the European violin in China and the formation of the national violin school in the twentieth century, one of the founders of which was a prominent violin virtuoso, composer, cultural and public figure Ma Sicong, the founder of many genres (Concert, program Suite, Rondo, Poem, Rhapsody) in Chinese violin music.
