Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of socio-psychological adaptation of migrant children in the context of educational system. The paper summarizes theoretical provisions of socio-psychological adaptation of migrant children and empirically identifies the system and content of socio-psychological adaptation of migrant children in the context of educational system. The paper clarifies the differences in the indicators of socio-psychological adaptation of migrant children and children of the local community (aggression, hostility, negativism, irritation, suspicion, resentment). Differences in the socio-psychological adaptation of migrant children depending on gender have been established. Factors of successful social and psychological adaptation to the new environment (adequate self-esteem, moderate level of anxiety (personal and situational), lack of hostility and suspicion of others) have been established. It is determined that the socio-psychological adaptation of migrant children in the context of educational system is a process of building an interaction system (environment – person – group) which produces an adaptive space, which results in the interaction of educational institutions through a special system of influences directed changes in the cognitive, emotional and behavioral areas of the personality of a migrant child.
