Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the solution of the actual scientific and applied problem of the development of models and tools, which improves the efficiency of expert assessment of the quality of knowledge in distance learning systems. The dissertation work for the first time proposed information technology for building educational space in distance learning systems, based on the use of a modular structure of tools, which takes into account the individual requirements and characteristics of participants in distance learning and allows to increase the efficiency of processes for the formation and expert assessment of knowledge. The method for determining the integral assessment of the quality of knowledge based on artificial neural networks has been further developed. The conceptual model of the educational space is improved on the basis of a formal description of the specification of information requirements for the functional tasks of users in distance learning systems. Information technology has been developed that allows to create software for knowledge assessment in distance learning systems. The use of theoretical research and practical developments allow based on the existing information technology to build new, more efficient, or upgrade existing information systems for distance learning. Key words: information technology, information system, distance learning, artificial neural networks, fuzzy set, expert assessment.
