Essay

A comprehensive study was conducted on the analysis of academic concepts and foreign policy initiatives and their relationship between the famous scientist and diplomat G. Kissinger. The main stages in the historiography of the problem are studied. The interpretation of the issues of the main diplomatic decisions of G. Kissinger and their theoretical basis is reflected in both domestic and foreign historiography. The influence of G. Kissinger's theoretical views acquired in the university environment on his practical activity in the administrations of the US presidents is argued. Clarified the role of G. Kissinger and his influence on the formation of US foreign policy during the presidencies of R. Nixon and J. Ford; G. Kissinger’s role in the negotiations on the establishment of US diplomatic relations with China, the end of the Vietnam War, the reduction of arms between the United States and the Soviet Union, and the settlement of the conflict in the Middle East.
