Essay

The object of research - the processes of information transmission in telecommunications networks. The subject of the research is the methods of spline functions aimed at improving the quality of modern mobile networks. Theoretical and practical results: For the first time a method of synthesis of selective signals with a finite spectrum based on quadratic spline functions was developed; the possibility of obtaining the same interval estimation of signals due to quadratic spline approximation with a smaller computational process than when using cubic splines is proved; the method of energy potential calculation for the downward direction of the directional properties of base station antennas has been improved; for the first time the method on restoration of self-similar traffic by means of approximation by linear, quadratic and cubic spline functions is offered, the method of spline extrapolation on the basis of spline functions for forecasting of traffic characteristics is developed; for the first time a method of spline extrapolation was developed to predict the characteristics of self-similar traffic using cubic splines. The software implementation of the study of the characteristics of self-similar traffic for the queuing system of the type WB / M / 1 /  is carried out.
