Research of structural and technological parameters of mutual placement of working bodies and their impact on energy quality in Ukraine is not given enough attention. A mechanical-mathematical model has been developed, which describes the parameters of mutual placement of the working bodies of the unit section for strip tillage and indicators of their efficiency. The method of assessing the effectiveness of strip tillage establishes the compliance of the influence of the working bodies on the condition of the treated strip and provides prompt adjustment of equipment and elimination of shortcomings. The proposed generalized indicator, taking into account the importance of individual quality indicators, determines the relative deviation of the values of individual quality indicators of tillage from the technologically specified, ensuring the objectivity of the assessment. During the research, the working transmission and speed of the unit remained unchanged, the time of passage of the study area and fuel consumption were recorded. The dependences between the parameters of mutual placement of the working bodies of the unit of the unit for strip tillage and the indicators of their efficiency are experimentally established. The parameters of mutual placement of the working bodies of the unit section for strip tillage are determined: depth of cultivation of the cultivator H=30 cm, distance from the axis of the front disc to the cultivator L=55 cm, distance from the cultivator to the axis of cutting discs C=38 cm cutting discs B=30 cm, depth of cutting discs’ h=16 cm, providing transverse roughness up to 15 % and lumpiness up to 10 %. The economic efficiency of the conducted researches is 2.2 l/ha or 41.8 UAH/ha in comparison with the basic variant – 1tRIPr OrthMan. With the projected loading of the unit for strip tillage 1 thousand ha/year, the payback period of one section will be 1 year compared to the base version, provided the same cost of the section of the unit for strip tillage 41800 UAH. The research carried out in the private enterprise «Iskra» obtained an additional economic efficiency of 1403.86 UAH/ha from the use of strip tillage technology when growing corn for grain in comparison with the traditional technology using plowing.
