Bulba V. Improvement of the technology for the vibration-based diagnostics of electric train traction gearboxes

The object of research is the vibration-based diagnostics of electric train traction gearboxes. The research used digital signal processing techniques, mathematical statistics, discrete wavelet transform, empirical mode decomposition, fractal analysis, Box-Jenkins method. As a result of the research, the relevant scientific task of improving the technology for the vibration-based diagnostics of electric train traction gearboxes was solved, which allows implementing new approaches for efficient allocation of frequency bands from the registered vibration signals with fault features and provide their accurate account with further prediction of various types of faults. The area of application of the thesis results is the technical maintenance and current repair of the electric trains.
