Essay

The dissertation investigates the determinants of economic security of private institutions for Higher Education through the use of management technology of Competitive Benchmarking. The essence of the process of ensuring the economic security of Institutions for Higher Education has been analyzed. Ensuring the economic security of private institutions for Higher Education has been defined as the process of identifying the possibility of exogenous, endogenous factors, taking into account the passage of time, monitoring, adapting to changes in external and internal levels and directing an economic agent to meet the conditions of economic security in particular «profitability». The role of Сompetitive Вenchmarking as a management technology to ensure the economic security of Institutions for Higher Education has been studied. The concept of «Competitive Benchmarking» has been viewed through a prism of partnership that allows to improve the performance of university (Competitiveness, Profitability, Quality), based on the achievements of competitors. Competitive Benchmarking is viewed as a movement from rivalry to partnership in the private education sector.The typology of Сompetitive Вenchmarking and its methodical construction have been offered.Peculiarities of ensuring economic security of higher education institutions as subjects of economic activity have been determined. The place of Сompetitive Вenchmarking in ensuring the economic security of higher educational institutions of Ukraine has been determined. The forms of Сompetitive Вenchmarking used by Ukrainian universities have been analyzed. The effectiveness of Сompetitive Вenchmarking of higher education institutions in the context of economic security has been assessed. Changes in the framework conditions for the use of Сompetitive Вenchmarking have been proposed. The classic forms of Сompetitive Вenchmarking, which require activation, have been identified. A model for ensuring the economic security of higher educational institutions has been developed. Ways to ensure the economic security of higher education institutions by using the latest forms of Competitive Benchmarking have been proposed.
