Essay

Object of research: state social policy. Subject of research: the experience and features of the use of sociological methodology in social policy in Ukraine. Objective: to identify the features and prospects of application of sociological methodology in the social policy of Ukraine. Research methods: analysis and synthesis, generalization, comparison, historical method, survey, content analysis, grouping, classification. Theoretical and practical results: identified key areas of application of sociological methodology in the formation and implementation of social policy through the use of sociological tools to outline trends in social processes and their factoriality; the necessity of allocating a separate special sociological theory - sociology of social policy is substantiated; the author's classification of types of social policy used by the states on means of maintenance of consolidation of a society is developed. The achievements of the dissertation research can contribute to the development of programs and practical recommendations by state and municipal authorities in the implementation of activities in the field of social policy and its improvement. Novelty: solution of a scientific problem in the field of sociology of management and theory of social policy, namely, outlines the possibilities of using sociological methodology in the implementation and improvement of social policy. Degree of implementation: the results are used in separate topics in the training courses "Sociology of Management", "Social Policy", "Social Audit" for the Odessa National University’s named after I. Mechnikov students.
