Rudnichenko O. Investigation of illegal imprisonment or kidnapping

The dissertation deals with the scientific bases of complex forensic methods of investigation of illegal imprisonment or kidnapping in the conditions of new criminal procedural legislation, determines its place in the system of species methods, as well as the structure of forensic characteristics, which includes such elements as preparation, commission and concealment of crimes; the situation of the commission and the trace picture; information on persons who have committed crimes, criminal groups and the identity of the victim(s), taking into account the current state of criminal procedure legislation and law enforcement activities. The problematic aspects of the beginning of the pre-trial investigation and the circumstances to be established in criminal proceedings concerning unlawful deprivation of liberty or kidnapping have been studied. Typical investigative situations and main directions of investigation are singled out. Possibilities of interaction of the investigator with employees of operational divisions are defined. The peculiarities of tactical and forensic support of investigative (search) actions and covert investigative (search) actions during the investigation are revealed and the forms of use of special knowledge under such conditions are analyzed.
