Thesis consists of the definition on the basis of the analysis of doctrinal and normative sources of administrative bases of realization of the right to service in local government. The historiography of research on right to service in local government bodies is analyzed. The author’s definition of the term «right to serve in local self-government bodies» is given, its features, object, content and subjects are defined.
