The thesis establishes the current state and defines the prospects for the legal regulation of military personnel financial support, considering the Euro-Atlantic course of Ukraine. The concept and essence are characterized, the principles are determined, and the normative base of the servicemen’s financial support is disclosed in detail. The grounds and conditions of such provision have been stated and systematized. The system of guarantees for the protection of a serviceman’s right to financial support is disclosed. The state of observance of the servicemen’s rights to monetary security based on judicial decisions of Ukrainian courts in cases of the corresponding category is characterized. As a result, frequent types of violations of the military personnel’s right to financial support are established and an assumption is made about their reasons. The state of the military personnel financial support legal regulation in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization member states (Bulgaria, Poland, Montenegro) is characterized. The topical problems of legal regulation of financial support for military personnel in Ukraine have been highlighted and the ways to solve them have been suggested.
