Essay

The dissertation is devoted to improving the diagnosis and increasing the effectiveness of hypertension treatment in men with overweight and obesity by a complex analysis and assessment of changes of blood pressure variability and chronobiological characteristics and arterial stiffness during dynamic observation on the background of antihypertensive therapy and in combination with bariatric surgery. In the dissertation on the basis of an detail approach in patients with hypertension in combination with overweight and obesity, the expansion of the diagnostic capabilities of the relationship of parameters of VAR BP, chronobiological characteristics of BP according to ABPM data, arterial stiffness was demonstrated, and scientific data on their relationship were supplemented with indicators of the structural and functional state of the heart and brachiocephalic arteries. It was found that the combination of the antihypertensive therapy, prescribed on the principles of preventive chronotherapy and bariatric surgery, proved to be more effective in lowering blood pressure levels and contributed to a more significant reversal of pathological changes in the arterial stiffness.
