Essay

The study on the basis of studying the theoretical achievements of scientists, the current legislation on which the functioning of forensic units is based, as well as the practice of its application, highlights the role and place of the Expert Service in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Features of the organization of its functioning are established. Proposals are provided for the expediency of forming and normative-legal consolidation of the system of principles of administrative-legal regulation of the functioning of the Expert Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The concept, features and structure of the mechanism of administrative and legal regulation of the functioning of the Expert Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are determined. The administrative and legal status of the Expert Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is described. The features of administrative and legal relations that take place in the spheres of functioning of the Expert Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are clarified. The expediency is argued and the ways of borrowing positive foreign experience of administrative and legal regulation of forensic activity and technical and forensic support of law enforcement activities are determined. On the basis of the results of the analysis of the problems of administrative and legal regulation of the functioning of the Expert Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine under the current conditions of its ongoing formation, as well as promising ways to solve them are suggested.
