Essay

The dissertation summarizes the theoretical and methodological foundations of the rational use of agricultural land. The main goals, objectives, tools and principles of economic stimulation of the rational use of agricultural land are determined. The main stages of the genesis of conceptual approaches to the formation of an economic mechanism to stimulate the rational use of agricultural land are highlighted. The thesis summarizes the theoretical foundations and reveals the essence of the mechanism of economic stimulation of rational land use. Methodical approaches to the evaluation of the effectiveness of the mechanism of economic stimulation of rational use of agricultural lands are characterized. The scientific approaches to the definition of "rational use of agricultural lands" are systematized according to the four main components, which are organizational, economic, ecological and social. Based on the results of the analysis of definitions given in the scientific sources, the author proposed the definition of "rational use of agricultural lands" as a complex multifaceted category including "environmentally sound" and "efficient" land use, since the compliance with environmental requirements is an integral and primary component of the rational use of lands. This confirms the need to strengthen the responsibility for sustainable land management by all landowners and users and to enshrine the relevant requirements in legislation, in particular in the area of land protection.
