The dissertation is devoted to the definition of the peculiarities of the permitting activity of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, as well as to the formulation of perspective directions of improvement of the administrative legislation in this part. The concept and essence of the permitting service as a subject of activity of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and object of administrative and legal regulation are defined and to formulate features of the last. The content of the activity of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine as a subject of providing permitting services is revealed. The content and range of legal bases and principles of providing permitting services by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine are clarified and the place of norms of administrative legislation is outlined among them. The permitting procedures of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine in the field of notaries are described. The content and features of registration procedures of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine are clarified. The peculiarities of the permitting procedures of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine in the field of bankruptcy are revealed. The foreign experience of providing permitting services and the possibility of its use in Ukraine are described. The administrative and legal criteria for assessing the effectiveness of the procedure for providing licensing services by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine are outlined. The directions of improvement of administrative and legal regulation of the procedure for providing permitting services by the Ministry of Justice are formulated, taking into account progressive practices and standards in this area.
