The dissertation is devoted to the solution of the scientific task, which consisted in the improvement of theoretical and methodological bases and the provision of practical recommendations for the management of sustainable development of the region in the conditions of decentralization (on the materials of the central regions of Ukraine). The Concept of Management of Sustainable Development of the Region in the Conditions of Decentralization was proposed for the first time. objects, subjects of management and factors of influence, and also development and use of algorithm of acceptance of administrative decisions, concerning maintenance of sustainable development of region according to three scenarios of the forecast (pessimistic, realistic, optimistic). The mechanism of sustainable development management of the region in the conditions of decentralization and tools for assessing the potential of sustainable development of the region based on a set of indicators based on the results of assessing internal and external socio-economic and environmental opportunities of the region have been improved. The list of factors influencing the realization of the goals of sustainable development of the region has been supplemented. The approach to forecasting and increasing the level of development of the region has been improved, which provides for the construction of an indicative model using the tools of balancing the goals, results, interests of the subjects of regional development management. The conceptual and categorical apparatus "sustainable development of the region" and the essence of the concept "region" are a distinctive feature of the author's approach is the study of this phenomenon as a multidimensional system with its inherent external and internal characteristics. conceptual principles of sustainable development of the region which are based on the target guidelines of the spatial organization of public relations.
