Burtovyi M. Procedural rights of the victim and implementation of these rights at the stage of pre-trial investigation

In the dissertation, a new solution to the scientific task based on a theoretical generalization is proposed, consisting in solving a complex of theoretical and practical problems of implementing the procedural rights of the victim at the stage of pre-trial investigation. The content of the procedural rights of the victim in criminal proceedings, taking into account international legal standards and foreign experience, is revealed. Legal guarantees for the realization of the victim's procedural rights during individual investigative (search) actions and compensation for the damage caused, including by means of prosecutorial supervision and judicial control, have been singled out and characterized. Recommendations aimed at improving the norms of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which regulate the procedural rights of the victim and their implementation at the stage of pre-trial investigation, have been developed.
