Essay

The dissertation made a theoretical generalization and a new solution to the scientific problem of determining the essence and peculiarities of the administrative-legal status of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, which made it possible to form a corresponding scientific concept, as well as to substantiate a number of new provisions and recommendations regarding further directions and prospects for the functioning and development of judicial governance . It is substantiated that the purpose of the activity of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine is to ensure the formation of the judicial corps, transfer of judges and ensuring their proper qualification level. It has been established that the tasks entrusted to the Higher Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine specify its purpose, as well as determine the means and ways of achieving it. The main tasks of the Higher Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine include: practical training of candidates for the position of judge from among persons who have a higher legal education and meet the requirements established by the Constitution of Ukraine and the Law of Ukraine "On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges" regarding candidates for the position of judge; improving the qualifications of judges (appointed to the post of judge for the first time, elected to the post of judge indefinitely, appointed to administrative positions in courts), judges who are temporarily removed from the administration of justice, as well as employees of court apparatuses, studying the international experience of the organization of courts.
