The state of scientific research of this issue has been highlighted; basic concepts and terms related to a special period, emergency situations, emergency and martial law; the state and methodology of scientific research on the implementation of criminal proceedings related to a special period, emergency situations, emergency and martial law; the problem of interaction between law enforcement and other bodies investigating criminal offenses committed during the special period, the presence of emergencies, states of emergency and martial law has been disclosed.
