Odynak O. Civil-legal regulation of the protection of the consumers’ of financial services rights

The dissertation is one of the first comprehensive monographic studies in national legal science of issues of civil law regulation of the protection of the consumers’ of financial services rights. The research of theoretical and applied aspects of the civil-legal regulation of the protection of the rights of consumers of financial services was carried out using modern methods of scientific knowledge, which made it possible to draw the following conclusions and proposals. The process of formation and development of the institute for the protection of the rights and interests of consumers of financial services in Ukraine has been staged.The features of the civil law regime of ensuring the protection of the consumers’ of financial services rights are highlighted. It was determined that regulatory mechanisms for the protection of the consumers’ of financial services rights include prudential regulation; requirements for transparency of information; financial literacy improvement programs; requirements for fair treatment; effective complaints handling mechanisms; deposit guarantee systems. Having analyzed the basic features of legislation in the field of protection of the rights of consumers of financial services, as well as the legal relations of market participants, it was established that these normative provisions constitute an interdisciplinary institute.
