In the dissertation, a comprehensive study of the administrative and legal regulation of the circulation of virtual assets was carried out. Scientific conclusions regarding the direction of research are analyzed. It has been established that the normatively fixed definitions of the term “virtual asset” reflect different features of the same phenomenon. The expediency of combining the indicated approaches and developing a single definition of the concept of “virtual asset”, which will be used in the future in the legislation, is substantiated.
