The dissertation provides a detailed analysis of the regulatory and legal framework governing the provision of humanitarian aid and volunteer and charitable activities. The genesis of the development of the field of humanitarian aid is considered and the factors contributing to its criminalization are outlined. A comparative study of various forms of charity was carried out. The essence and content of the methodology for investigating fraud in the field of humanitarian assistance, which is based on the systematic use of algorithms that determine the optimal sequence and relationship of procedural actions and investigative measures, is revealed. A forensic description of fraud in the field of humanitarian aid was formed, which involves a comprehensive analysis of the following elements: typology of fraudulent actions, the subject of the criminal offense, the circumstances of the fraud, the identity of the criminal and the victim.
