Essay

Features of functioning of mixed cultures, which are submitted by a typical microflora of coal mines, contenting methanotrophs, Bacillus and Pseudomonas species was studied.Properties of a cells surface of these microorganisms are investigated and is determined of these properties influence on adhesion to hydrophilic (glass) and hydrophobic (polystyrene) materials. Is shown, that functioning of methanotrophic bacteria in mixed cultures with the representatives of Bacillus and Pseudomonas genus essentially influenced on adhesion of each of these species of microorganisms.Features colonization of solid materials by pure and mixed cultures of the representatives of a typical microflora of coal mines in elective conditions for methanotrophs are investigated.Dependence of colonization intensity of a glass and polystyrene by methanotrophs with a different cells surface hydrophobicity degree from a different gas mix contents is investigated.Methane and oxygen concentration optimum in a gas mix for this process are determined.Influence of humidity of a carrier (rock particles of coal mines) on methane oxidation intensity of immobilized methanotrophic bacteria as well as time of cultivation on physiological activity of pure and mixed cultures of methanotrophs is investigated.
