Essay

A mathematical model for calculation of the temperature and the stress state in frictional elements of the braking system is proposed. The solution of corresponding boundary-value problems of the transient heat conductivity and the quasistationary thermoelasticity is obtained. The distribution of the flash temperature and correspon- ding thermal stress state near the local real contact area on the working surface of the brake pad is investigated. The influence of the microgeometry of the frictional surface and her convectional cooling on the thermal stress state is analysed. The sphere of application is modeling of the working and construction the braking pads, study of the contacting interactive bodies.
