Essay

Thesis is devoted to investigation of phase equilibria, crystal structures and physical propeties of intermetallic compounds. Isothermal sections of phase diagrams of tarnay systems {Tb,Ho,Yb,Lu}-Cu-Al and Dy-Ag-Al have been built and limit compos ions of solid solutions on the base of binary compounds and homogeneity ranges of the ternary compounds have been determined. Crystal structures of 4 bynary and 48 ternary intermetallides, which belong to 15 structure types, have been determined for the first time. Four new structure types have been found. Valence state of Ytterbium atoms and temperature dependence of electroresistance for two intermatalic compounds have been studied. Regularities of the interaction in systems Ln-Cu-Al and Dy-Ag-Al have been analized.
