The dissertation deals with the eigenmode problem for a slot line having cross-sectional contour in the form of arbitrary polygon. Based on the domain product technique boundary-value problem is reduced to a homogeneous system of infinite matrix equations of the second kind. The system can be solved using truncation procedure. Investigations of the despersion characteristics and the distributions of the electromagnetic fields are carried out for a bilateral slot line. For the above line, effect of the break of the lateral perfectly conducting field distributions is studied. The classification of the line eigenmodes is proposed.
