Essay

The object of study: blood and liver of rats. The aim of study: to establish the mechanisms of mercury chloride and cobalt chloride action on the heme biosynthesis key enzyme in the liver. Methods and equipment: biochemical (determination of the activities of number of enzymes, reduced glutathione content in liver and the content of hemolysis products and hemopexin in blood serum); single- and doble-ray spectrophotometer, photocolorimeter, centrifuge with refrigerator. Theoretical and practical results, newness: Prolonged inhibition of liver delta-aminolevulinate synthase under the action of cobalt chloride is followed by the accumulation in blood serum of the cobalt-substituted hemoproteins. The accumulation of the hemolysis products under mercury chloride action is prevented by the pretreating of rats by beta-adrenoblocator propranolol and under cobalt chloride action - by the reduced glutatione. The weakening both inhibiting and inducing action of the mercury chloride and cobalt chloride on the heme biosynthesis key enzyme under the hemolysis prevention testifies, that antyhemolytic compounds administration under the heavy metals salts entering to the mammals organism is one of the perspective ways of prophylactic of heme biosynthesis disturbances in the liver. The sphere of application: medical and toxicological biochemistry.
