The thesis is a complex historic research of the Russian Orthodox Church role in the national revival of the Southern Slavs in the period from the second half of the XVIII century to the end of the 70th of the XIX century. The importance of the religions and spiritual factor in the process of formation of the national consciousness of the Bulgarians, Serbs, Montenegrins, Voivodians, Bosnian Serbs are investigated in the work. The main forms of the assistance rendered by the Russian Orthodox Church to coreligions Southern Slavs in the given period are first analyzed in the investigation.
