Essay

Object of research is a rock mass around tonnel shield cuts. Purpose of the research is to determine the regularities in stresses re-distribution around a working due to moistening with surfactants water solutions. Methods of the research are: analysis and generalization of existing mounting technologies; physical and mathematical simulation; laboratory and in-mine experiments; data processing. Theoretical results and novelty are in establishing features of rock mass stress-stain condition in vicinity of the shield stope that allows to defermine the mechanism of the cut mounting deformation taking into account both overworking and underworking. Practical results and novelty are in developing the method of protection of development workings at the shield working using preliminary the mass due to moistening with surfactants water solutions. Site and extent of introduction are: the method has been introduced at Gagarin and Dzerzhinsky mines. Range of application is intended at mines and R&D institutes of Ministry of Coal Industry and N.A.S. of Ukrain.
