Object of investigations: The damping constant of Fraunhofer's lines. Aim of investigation: The calculation of the damping constant of Fraunhofer's lines of the Solar atmosphere. Methods: Empirical (Voigt's method, equivalent width method, Kostik's method), theoretical (second-order perturbution theory). Results: Explicit expressions for the damping constant with the consideration of inelastic collisions and post Van der Waals interactions; two types of expansions of the damping constant over the powers of temperature were recived. Introduction: The results are used at the Ivan Franko Lviv State University for the evaluation chemical composition of the stellar atmosphere. Applications: The theory of the stellar atmosphere.
