The formation and electrical relaxation of the polarized organic ferroelectrics such as PVDF, P(VDF-TFE), P(VDC-VAc) in thermally stimulated and isothermal conditions and with a role of the space charge in these processes. It has been found that polarization in medium fields is non-uniform along the same thickness due to charge injection and separation of intrinsic charge carries. In the high fields, however, polarization is uniformly distributed. It has been shown that polarization and space charge form a self-balanced system. The charge trapped at the boundaries of the polarized regions compensates the depolarized field and stabilizes the residual polarization. A phenomenological model has been developed to explain the build-up of polarization in ferroelectric polymers where the deep trapping of charge carries is considered.
