Karabanov O. Estimation of tropo-stratosphere dynamic parameters by vertical sounding radiotechnical systems

The dissertation is devoted to questions of creation of vertical sounding radiotechnical system (VS RTS) that measures the wind motions in tropo-stratosphere. The case of vertical sounding of clear air irregularities is discussed. The structure of VS RTS and methods of signal processing for wind velocity determination is worked out. The reasons for main parameters choice are given. The model of scattered signals and processing system is proposed. By modelling the errors of wind velocity and spectral width estimations for discussed signal processing methods is obtained, and the best one is determined. The effectiveness of proposed decisions is confirmed by experimental measurements.
