Essay

Energy coupling systems of mitochondria, chloroplasts and bacteria. Modeling by the method of equivalent electrical circuits, models behaviour computer analysis. The models for different variants of chemiosmotic and proton-chemical mechanisms of energy coupling are developed. The comparative analysis of models and comparison of theoretical dependencies with experimental data received by different authors is carried out. The ratio between rates of oxidative phosphorylation and respiration, protonmotive force and phosphate potential in mitochondria is analyzed. Proton- chemical models conform to the experimental data contradicting to the chemiosmotic hypothesis. New more adequate modification of equivalent electrical circuits' method offered. Application field - bioenergetics, membrane biophysics.
