Essay

Vectors of exponential type of operators with discrete spectrum on Banach spaces are considered in the dissertation. The isomorphism between the spaces of root vectors and exponential type vectors of operators with discrete spectrum is established. The spaces of root functions of regular and some of singular elliptic differential operators are described. The functional calculus in interpolatory algebras of symbols for the operators with discrete spectrum is constructed.
