The parameters of the diastolic filling of heart ventricles in different types of left ventricular geometry were compared. The status of cardiac diastolic filling depends not only on hypertrophy, but also on changes of left ventricular geometry. The determinants of right ventricular diastolic dysfunction in arterial hypertension were established. The stable normalisation of the blood pressure is followed by regress of left ventricular hypertrophy, accompanied by improvement of the diastolic filling of heart ventricles.
